Olde South Gumbo Base
A Gulf Coast Tradition
Just add Seafood, Sausage, or Chicken
Ready in 30 minutes!
1.Thaw frozen bag of gumbo in hot water. Add 1 cup of water or chicken broth to your 3 lb. bag of Olde South Gumbo in a large saucepan. Olde South Gumbo tastes great right out of the bag, but we recommend that you season to your specific taste (seafood seasoning, a couple of bay leaves, salt, extra cup of okra, 1 cup of sausage optional). Bring contents to a boil, stirring continually as not to scorch.
2.Add 1 or more lbs of raw shrimp. Cook 3 minutes or until shrimp are fully cooked. Serve over rice.
3. Olde South Gumbo contains no seafood at time of manufacture. Our gumbo can be served with shrimp, crabmeat, sausage, scallops, oysters, turkey, duck, venison, or chicken.
Gumbo Base Ingredients: Water, Flour, Tomatoes, Onions, Worcestershire, Salt, Paprika, Crab Boil, Pepper, Parsley, Bay Leaves, Caramel, Sodium Benzoate (Less than 0.1 of 1% to preserve freshness), Okra, and Celery
Contents: One 3 lb bag of Gumbo Base
Serves Approximately 8 People
Roux with your ingredients makes 1 gallon of gumbo.
